  • Moving your iTunes library from PC to Mac

I found this nice article, http://lifehacker.com/software/itunes/geek-to-live–how-to-move-an-itunes-library-from-a-pc-to-mac-and-back-242468.php, that explains how to move your iTunes library from a PC (Windows) to Mac (OS X). The beauty of this is that it will bring your play lists with you something most people must preserve. Enjoy!

Update for this, I noticed that I had spaces in some of the path names, for example: Macintosh HD and iTunes Music, well to get this to work out you’ll want to use the following characters (%20) to represent a space when doing the find & replace feature of the process. Example: /Volumes/Macintosh%20HD/Users/username/

    Hope that helps.

  • Teachmac.com – Learning your Mac

I am going to be an author of a teachmac module soon. I’ve been hearing a lot about Teachmac.com. This is a really neat place to download modules (some Free, some by payment (max. $15.00)) that teach you really cool stuff about your Mac! I heard about them through a few different podcasts (see right-side navigation for my favorites). I’ll let you know once I author the module; I don’t want to give away the surprise so you’ll just have to wait. One hint though, it’s for all you switchers out there! (Hey, that includes me!).

  • Making the switch from MSN Messenger to iChat

Being in the business of selling Apple products I often have to figure out ways to make switching to the Mac easier for long time Windows users. This was a very good posting on how to use your existing MSN account via iChat through a Jabber account. Check it out here!
It seems that some people are experiencing an issue with getting some contacts via the MSN transport that show up as “Waiting for Authorization”, I’m looking into this more. I think there could be an issue if you have a lot of contacts already in MSN. This could mean perhaps more than 30 contacts. Hopefully I find a solution soon. When I do I’ll post it here.

BTW, If you’re not completely anti-Microsoft then you can install MSN for Mac OS X
